I’m trying to write this post for a few minutes now and I really don’t know how to begin. New York… yes, I managed to travel to this magical city for a second time in my life but this one was all about work. OK, I also managed to steal a few hours to enjoy myself, but it was mostly work.
I was invited to The Hellenic Initiative 5th Annual Gala fundraising event in which more than $2 million were raised for the entrepreneurial & crisis relief support of Greece! The Gala was the largest and most successful Greek Diaspora fundraising event and was attended by Greeks from the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia. Who is The Hellenic Initiative? #THI is a global, nonprofit, secular institution mobilizing the Greek diaspora and Philhellene community around the world to support sustainable economic recovery and renewal for the Greek people. Nice huh?
So after working for THI and documenting this great event, I got to visit some favorite places in New York. I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, had a lovely afternoon in Soho with a new friend (Maria of Fashion Design Lab – more info soon) and walk the city, which is all you want to do once you set your foot in this amazing place.
I just wanna say, I love New York and I hope my pictures can speak for themselves because I’m really exhausted right now. Smiley face.
